Todd's Testimony
I was saved at the age of seven. I also received my first
motorcycle at about this same time. Regrettably, I slowly began to drift away
from God and the church. Racing became my life. I raced for the first time at
the age of thirteen, and by the time I was sixteen I was a professional rider.
A motorcycle shop began sponsoring me and gave me a free motorcycle, free
helmets, and other riding gear. I began winning races and making good money. My
parents were very supportive of me and my possibly lucrative career. I quit
school at the tenth grad to race professionally full-time. I was racing against
the best riders and finishing among the top ten in the nation. Although, I was
living my dream and enjoying the success in my new found career, I was still
empty inside and knew something was missing. That is when I met my wife to be,
Carrie.
Because of Carrie, I started attending church again. She
invited me to attend a youth camp that summer. There was red-hot preaching and
spirit filled singing. The Lord got a hold of me that summer, and my life has
never been the same. I rededicated my life to the Lord in July of 1993. I got
rid of my motorcycles and got away from competitive racing because it kept me
out of church.
All of my so-called friends thought I was crazy, but I knew
in my heart what the Lord wanted from and for me. Carrie became my wife in 1998
and since then God has blessed us in marvelous ways.
I travel all over the country now jumping for Jesus and
doing my part in reaching boys and girls for the Lord Jesus Christ.
